ABSTRACT

Introduction: This paper aims at conducting a legal analysis of the health workers' authority in telemedicine service in Indonesia. This article discusses an issue related to the importance of telemedicine usage in health services. That is beneficial to reduce virus transmission. Therefore, government issued regulations regarding telemedicine services by medical personnel. So, there is a change in the legal relationship that previously occurred in health care facilities into a legal relationship between doctors and patients. This case creates legal problems in the form of legal ambiguity regarding the authority of medical personnel through telemedicine services. Methods: Normative legal research implemented in this research and the approach implemented is the state and the conceptual approach. Results: Telemedicine provides medical services and health information. In Indonesia, telemedicine was made mandatory by Law Number 36 on Health in 2009, particularly in terms of medical expertise. Legal basis of telemedicine in Indonesia is the Law on health however the regulation is general. Conclusions: The conclusion is the need for detailed regulation of the limits of authority of health workers in health services through telemedicine. ABSTRACT

"Tri Sentra Pendidikan" has faced challenges during the pandemic. Teachers and parents as actors in the "Tri Sentra Pendidikan" or Three Centers of Education were close to the problem of learning loss during the pandemic. The limitations of learning dared to cause teachers and students to experience obstacles in the process of conveying and receiving learning knowledge. Parents could not be fully present in the learning process at home with the complexity of home activities that have changed since the pandemic situation. Qualitative research with a phenomenological approach was conducted on eight informants consisting of four teachers and four parents from various regions in Indonesia. The research results indicated that teachers and parents, and character education, were significant to note because of the link between learning loss and the development of children's character. Teachers and parents must ensure the effective use of technology for learning used by children in addition to the technological mastering skills by current students. It was because children's technological skills could be a solution to minimize learning loss if the practice or used as directed by teachers and parents who were actively paying attention and controlling. Teachers and parents, as actors in the "Tri Sentra Pendidikan," must know the students' characteristics to determine the right strategy for the development of student education.

ABSTRACT

The development of the COVID-19 situation in Indonesia affected particularly education sector in Indonesia significantly when learning loss occurs. The majority of students forced to attend online learning during the pandemic era are Generation Z (Gen Z). Gen Z is viewed as a digital natives group that can adapt quickly to online learning, but independent online learning situations make Gen Z vulnerable to experiencing learning loss. It will be interesting to find out the process of controlling learning loss done by Gen Z as digital natives. This research used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The main informant consisted of 32 students selected purposively with the criteria of those born in 2000-2008. Few in-depth interviews were conducted offline and the majority of them are conducted online. The finding of research shows particularly that the experience of Zillennial generation group (cohort) with online learning before the pandemic (Because-motives) and during the pandemic can equip them to control learning loss they feel conscious (In-order-to-motive). Another finding leads to the creation of three Gen Z Typications in online learning during the pandemic time including inconsistent, proactive, learning independence, and desperation Typication. Generation Z group exists as one generation consciously experiencing loss of learning during pandemic incidence. © 2023, Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science. All rights reserved.

ABSTRACT

To ensure that learning continues during the Covid-19 pandemic, educators must understand pedagogical and content knowledge through the integration of information and communication technology (ICT). An example is English teachers at elementary schools in Indonesia making videos to help young learners learn English remotely. This paper aims to find out how teachers maximize student learning from their videos in a technology-limited environment and how teachers integrate their role as facilitators into their videos. We gathered data by conducting observations of three English teachers for four months during the odd semester of the 2021–2022 academic year and interviews with the participants. The research findings indicated that participants implemented a cognitive load aspect that makes it easier for young learners to see real examples of objects, even if only on video, thereby reducing excessive cognitive load. In addition, the participants implemented the student engagement aspect, which reduces the intrinsic load and makes the text in the video more meaningful. A third aspect implemented was active learning, which serves to help students and teachers develop strong feelings of social cooperation. Moreover, participants integrated their role as facilitators in educational videos by using an information guide and by being friendly inquirers to their students. The findings imply that if packaged properly, teacher videos can be one of the learning techniques that teachers and students can use in any situation. Furthermore, unlike in offline learning, students can replay teaching videos to aid their learning process, without having to ask the teacher to repeat the explanation. ©Authors This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has hit Indonesia since March 2020. Several policies have been issued by the Indonesian government to reduce the level of the spread of COVID-19. This policy has an impact on various fields of life especially the economic sector in various sectors. This study was conducted to analyze the grouping of provinces whose economies are at risk of being affected by COVID-19 based on various economic sectors namely the unemployment rates the percentage of poor people the provincial minimum wage and the occupancy rate of hotels using cluster analysis. Cluster analysis was performed using several hierarchical methods namely Simple Complete Average and Centroid Linkage and Ward. The Cophenetic correlation coefficient (rCoph) was used to determine the best method while the number of clusters was determined based on the Dunn Connectivity and Silhoutte indexes. The analysis result shows that Average Linkage is the best method with two clusters. The first cluster consists of all provinces in Indonesia except Papua whose economy is highly at risk of being affected by COVID-19 characterized by a low percentage of the poor and a low provincial minimum wage as well as high levels of open unemployment and hotel occupancy rates. Meanwhile the second cluster consists of the Province of Papua which is an economic group with a low risk of being affected by COVID-19. By looking at the impact of the COVID-19 disaster the government can make recovery efforts and generalize economic recovery policies due to COVID-19 which have an impact on the economy of almost all provinces in Indonesia.

ABSTRACT

COVID-19 Pandemic is a severe problem for all countries in the entire world including Indonesia. The government has made much effort by giving raw food to all of society who have lower income or got impacted by the Pandemic. The other governments actions are Large Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) using masker washing Hands with soap. To cut the contagion chain that it has not run well at this moment. This activity needs more personal protective equipment such as masker and hand sanitizer;both tools are essential for tackling patients in the medical sector. In the Pandemic era these tools are minimal and also the price is very high so their stock tends to the shortage. The Muhammadiyah University of Gresik as part of the Muhammadiyah Organization has contributed to the society around the campus. We have done one activity making an automatic spray pump of hand sanitizer for helping Aisyiyah Clinic as Muhammadiyah Health Facility. A mechanical spray pump of hand sanitizer is a tool used to avoid touching the tools;just put the Hand close to the device and then spray a little bit of Hand sanitizer. Besides we give an Automatic Spray Pump of hand sanitizer;we also offer two jerry cans refilling of hand sanitizer and masker. As per the interview with the doctor who works there, they are very appreciative of this giving and it is beneficial for this clinic.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the design of inclusive education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used is a qualitative approach. In conducting research data sources are needed in data collection using primary and secondary sources. Primary sources are data sources that are obtained directly from informants in this case the principal and homeroom teacher and special companion teachers. Meanwhile secondary data is in the form of several documents required for completeness of research data. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative through data reduction data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that inclusive education served all the needs of students regardless of differences. This can be seen from: (1) the composition of the class consists of various aspects of diversity (2) each student is given treatment according to their needs (3) SPMB is based on the child’s age and observations of student development are made (4) implements a modified k13 curriculum with the nature school curriculum that is modified according to the needs of students (5) learning develops aspects: cognitive language physical-motor social-emotional and moral and (6) learning evaluation is carried out every day and once a week (7) learning during a pandemic is through video calls WhatsApp with a duration of 1 hour and uses the question and answer method and demonstrations.

ABSTRACT

In this paper, five phenomenological (Richards, a generalized Richards, Blumberg, Tsoularis & Wallace, and Gompertz) models are implemented to predict the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases. The five phenomenological models are in the form of ordinary differential equations with a few number of model parameters. The model parameters of each model were calibrated by fitting the model with the reported cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in East Java Province from March 25 until October 31, 2020 via nonlinear least square method. We compare the performance of the five phenomenological models by measuring four performance metrics, namely the root mean square error (RMSE), the mean absolute error (MAE), the coefficient of determination (R-2) and the Akaike information criterion (AIC). When calibrating the cumulative number of cases, the five models perform very well, which are indicated by their high coefficient of determination (R-2 > 0.999). However, a comparison of the four-performance metrics shows that Tsoularis & Wallace performed the best followed by a generalized Richards model. The prediction for the final size of the COVID-19 epidemic in East Java according to the Tsoularis & Wallace model is kappa = 78 002. Both Richards and Gompertz models tend to underestimate the final size of the epidemic, while the Blumberg model tends to overestimate. The five models estimate the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic in East Java has been occurred on August 13-14, 2020. Using the predicted cumulative number of cases, we determine the daily new cases of COVID-19 in East Java. Based on the four-performance metrics, it appears that the five phenomenological models predict new daily cases of COVID-19 equally well.
